Breaking News ! Conditions are set to remain wintry this week with more snow and heavy rain on the way following Storm Christoph. Further rainfall, which caused severe flooding in the wake of the storm, is not forecast until next Thursday for Liverpool- but plummeting temperatures are expected. Temperatures this morning (Sunday, January 24) will hover around -1°C before averaging at 1°C. On Thursday, the weather takes a turn for the worse, as heavy rain returns from 12pm until 6pm. Chris Tubbs, deputy chief forecaster for the Met Office said: “The cold conditions are forecast to remain across the UK until Tuesday, when more Atlantic-dominated weather is due to exert an influence, gradually bringing milder, but wetter conditions to the UK once more, although this may take a while to reach the north-east of the UK.
