Breaking News ! Liverpool are back in control of their top four destiny. A week in which the Reds beat Manchester United at Old Trafford and Chelsea lost to Arsenal handed Jurgen Klopp's side the advantage with three games to play. Playing just three days before their FA Cup final defeat to Leicester City, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel took responsibility for his side’s loss after making seven changes to his starting line-up. Currently occupying fourth place and the final Champions League qualification spot, Chelsea have 64 points with just two more Premier League fixtures remaining. In contrast, last season’s title winners Liverpool have a game in hand on the west London club and can move just one point behind their rivals after the massive win against United at Old Trafford. Here’s a run-down of the remaining fixtures for clubs still involved in the Champions League chase (Manchester City and Manchester United have already qualified) which goes as low as ninth-placed Everton (Arsenal in eighth cannot make it). Sunday May 23: Tottenham Hotspur (h), 4pm. The win at Manchester United on Tuesday steadied the ship for Brendan Rodgers’ side and both their remaining fixtures are against other teams in the mix, including a rerun of the FA Cup final just three days after they travel to the capital to face Chelsea. Whatever happens, the Foxes remain best-placed of all the contenders and their destiny is very much in their own hands. Chelsea (4th, P 36, GD 22, Pts 64) Tuesday May 18: Leicester City (h), 8:15pm. Sunday May 23: Aston Villa (a), 4pm. Tuchel might be kicking himself that Chelsea slipped up but the aforementioned Leicester City part two battle next Tuesday could be shaped by the Foxes' victory in the FA Cup final on Saturday. Chelsea’s final game at Villa is against opponents with just pride to play for but takes place six days before their Champions League final - in which victory against Manchester City could still provide them with an alternative route back to European football's top table should their domestic bid fail. Liverpool's win against United opens the door for an unlikely finish in the top four.

. However, the win at Old Trafford could give Klopp's side the confidence boost they need to go on and secure Champions League qualification. West Ham United (6th , P 36 GD 10, Pts 59) Wednesday May 16: West Bromwich Albion (a), 8:15pm. Sunday May 23: Southampton (h), 4pm. Nerves seemed to get the better of David Moyes’ men last Sunday when they slipped to a 1-0 home defeat to his former long-time employees Everton and making up the gap on those sides above them will now be difficult. And they missed the chance to move back ahead of Liverpool after a draw with Brighton on Saturday. The Hammers’ remaining fixtures look winnable though as they travel to one opponent who has already been relegated before finishing with a home game against a Saints side treading water. Tottenham Hotspur (7th, P35 GD 20 Pts 56) Sunday May 16: Wolverhampton Wanderers (h), 2:05pm. Wednesday May 19: Aston Villa (h), 6pm. Sunday May 23: Leicester City (a), 4pm. Managerless Spurs need a perfect finish from themselves combined with a dramatic Chelsea collapse if they’re to have any chance of gatecrashing the top four party. While they could uphold their side of the bargain, the second element seems fanciful and a bigger concern could be looking over their shoulder when it comes to holding on to the last European spot. Arsenal’s shock win at Chelsea actually saw Everton drop out of the top eight but unlike Mikel Arteta’s side they can still mathematically finish in the top four. Carlo Ancelotti has declared publicly that it’s not realistic to expect this though and the Blues best hope seems to be trying to climb at least a couple of places to secure European qualification of some kind. The draw against Aston Villa means the Blues would need a miracle to qualify.
