Breaking News ! Filming came to a halt in Liverpool earlier this year when the country was put into the first national lockdown. But when restrictions started to ease in the summer, camera crews returned to Liverpool to resume filming for upcoming projects. This included the new Batman movie which saw Liverpool transformed into Gotham City in October. Robert Pattinson was spotted in the city centre for filming and fans were left exhilarated at the sight of a stuntman dressed in a full Batman costume stood at the top of the Liver Building. In an update to Liverpool Council's Culture, Tourism & Events Select Committee this week, Liverpool Film Office said between January and December despite the pandemic, they will have attracted 270 film and TV projects to the city region. This equates to 900 filming days and an inward investment of approximately £10m into the Liverpool economy. Here are the films and TV shows that have been filmed in Liverpool this year. Produced by Liverpool-based company LA Productions, the series has been filmed across the city and the wider Merseyside region. The long running show by writer Jimmy McGovern returned to our screens for series 11 earlier this year. As an anthology series, each episode of Moving On features a new cast of actors and focuses on a pivotal moment in the life of one or more of the characters. According to Liverpool Film Office there is currently one project in production in the city, while a further five large scale projects will be filming across the Liverpool City Region between November and into December.
