Breaking News ! Bargain retailer Lidl has confirmed its in-store rules after Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s and more revealed they would refuse entry to those not wearing face coverings. The supermarket, which has stores across Merseyside , has shared its rules for shoppers online to avoid any confusion. Taking to its social media channels, Lidl shared a video reiterating its stance on social distancing and face masks, adding that the health of shoppers and staff is its “top priority”. We want to reiterate that the health of our customers and staff is our top priority.” Here’s what Lidl confirmed its safety measures and rules to be: Face coverings are mandatory Cleaning stations are available for customers to sanitise their hands and baskets or trolleys Lidl asks that shoppers only buy what they need - stores are being replenished every day When possible, shoppers are asked to use contactless or card payments In a second post, Lidl implored shoppers to shop alone if they can in order to reduce the number of people in store and to help maintain social distancing. The message read: “Lidlers! Shopping on your own can help make a big difference. “When you’re in our stores, please shop alone if you can to reduce the number of people in store and help maintain social distancing.” To help shoppers avoid busy times where more people may be in store, Lidl has also shared its quietest - and busiest - times to shop.
