Breaking News ! It's the Grand National Festival ... but not as we know it. No fans, no Ladies Day, no roar as "they're off!" But still lots and lots of high quality jump racing from some of the finest horses in steeplechasing ridden by some of the greatest jockeys. And we'll be there at Aintree to bring you all the very best of the action LIVE. Our racing correspondent Chris Wright will be on course to bring you instant reaction - while Tony Scott joins him at Aintree to bring you all the instant news, views and interviews. The feature race of Day One is the Betway Aintree Hurdle at 3.25pm, while two-time Grand National hero Tiger Roll lines-up in the Grade One Betway Bowl Chase at 2.50pm. The first race run over the Grand National fences has been renamed in honour of former Aintree Racecourse chairman Rose Paterson, who died last year. The Rose Paterson Randox Foxhunters’ Open Hunters’ Chase goes off at 4.05pm. But there's much much more. Day One of the festival is Liverpool's NHS Day - named in honour of and to celebrate the heroic NHS staff across the region.It should be a landmark day, too, headlined by the Grade One Betway Bowl.That race regularly features stars from the previous month’s Cheltenham Gold Cup, and is one of three top level events on the card.
