Breaking News ! A Liverpool charity that was rocked by a violent robbery has been overwhelmed by donations from generous members of the public. On Tuesday, a robber "with no teeth" stormed into the headquarters of The Brain Charity in Norton Street, threatened staff with a weapon and stole £95 from the till. When the man was disturbed by a member of staff at the organisation, which helps people with all neurological conditions, he threatened the worker with what appeared to be a sharp object or blade. The Brain Charity has issued CCTV images of a man police are seeking in connection with the offence and have asked anyone with information to come forward. But after sharing details of the shocking incident in the ECHO, the charity says it has been inundated with kind donations that have far outweighted what was stolen. In the less than 24 hours since details of the robbery were made public, generous Scousers have raised more than £700 for The Brain Charity – far surpassing the original £95 stolen.
