Breaking News ! EA SPORTS FIFA 20 is the most-played game in franchise history, with unique players increasing 10 percent year-over-year and daily active players reaching an all-time engagement high. So it's fair to say that there's plenty of excitement about the next instalment in the FIFA franchise, but when is FIFA 21 actually due for release? Well it all depends what edition of the game you buy, with some editions giving gamers early access to FIFA 21. The earliest you'll be able to play FIFA 21 is if you were to use EA Access (PS4, Xbox One) and Origin Access (PC), with Play First Trials starting start on October 1, 2020. If you pre-order the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition or Champions Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC you’ll be able to play from October 6, 2020, with the Standard Edition allowing gamers to play from the game's official UK and worldwide release date of October 9, 2020. It has also been confirmed that FIFA 21 will be playable on the next-generation edition of gaming consoles, the Playstation 5 and the Xbox One Series X, but no release date has been confirmed for these consoles yet. As such, EA have confirmed that when you purchase FIFA 21 on Xbox, PS4 or PC, you'll have access to something called Dual Entitlement, which will enable you to upgrade your copy of FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X, at no extra cost.
