Breaking News ! Everton stadium architect Dan Meis has shared his thoughts on Bramley-Moore Dock on the day that planning permission was secured for the project. On Tuesday, a Liverpool City Council planning committee passed a unanimous vote on the proposals which were originally submitted in December 2019, and updated in September 2020. Meis Architects showed off their designs for the ground for the first time in July 2019 and blew supporters away with the concepts for a waterfront stadium. In what came as a surprise to many in June 2020, Meis announced via his social media that he was no longer involved in the project and has been relatively quiet on Bramley-Moore since then. And he believes that bringing as many aspects as possible over from the club's current home are crucial to making Everton's new stadium an instant success. He said: "Goodison is one of the unique places in the world for football. You can't replicate the generations of magic that has affected people in being there. "So again that was another big consideration. So I was also very conscious of that.

. "There's sometimes certain elements that can be moved but again I think here was really important that it's not token. "You know, you can't just move some seats or a sign or something like that because it's such an intrinsic thing that people feel about Goodison that it is how do you bring the atmosphere? How do you bring the noise and the excitement that one feels in the stands? "There are things that people love and hate about old venues and some of those things that you may love or hate, they really again help form those memories. "So I think that's one of the things that as the design continues to develop and the building gets built, it's really important to try and capture as much of that as we can in that move so people don't feel like they left Goodison behind entirely." Meis revealed that he was watching and screaming along with the Merseyside derby on Saturday and he hopes the club's good form can continue. He added: "It's very exciting and it's great to see the club doing well. Believe me, you could have heard me screaming on the weekend as well! It was quite the derby! "So let's hope it all keeps going in that direction."
