Breaking News ! A 12-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being found injured at the bottom of a railway bridge. Emergency services were called to Noctorum Avenue in Prenton, Birkenhead, shortly before 8.30am on Thursday, to reports of the injured child. Witnesses reported seeing a large police presence in the area around the bridge where a cordon was put in place. It is believed that the boy may have fallen from the footbridge which runs over the train tracks, but this is yet to be confirmed by police. He was taken to hospital with a leg injury which police said "is not initially believed to be life-threatening."
