Breaking News ! A further six covid-19 deaths have been recorded at Liverpool's main NHS hospitals Trust. Sadly, the city's hospitals are continuing to see rising numbers of deaths from the virus, with medics under immense pressure. The six latest patient deaths mean that a total of 646 covid-19 deaths have now been recorded at the Liverpool Trust since the pandemic began. While deaths continue to increase, the city has had some more hopeful news in terms of infections. The very latest data shows that the infection level has continued to drop. Data extracted covering testing between October 17 to 23 shows that the total number of confirmed cases for the last 7 days is 2,425, a decrease of 588 cases on the previous week.

Across England, the NHS said that a further 91 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,910. Patients were aged between 44 and 95 years old. All had known underlying health conditions. Date of death ranges from 24 September to 25 October 2020, with the majority being on or after 23 October.
