Breaking News ! 1457403515">Harry Winks will not be leaving Tottenham this transfer window despite interest in the midfielder from abroad. That is according to long-time Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs after Sky Sports reported earlier this week the 24-year-old England midfielder is wanted by Spanish side Valencia. Between 27 September and 27 December, Winks was given just 55 minutes of Premier League football by Jose Mourinho, leading to speculation that he was considering his future with the club. But since then, Winks has been back in the side, starting Spurs’ last two league matches against Leeds and Wolves respectively. Robinson believes that with increased game time, Winks is unlikely to want to leave North London, especially with the European Championship on the horizon. He told Football Insider: “I think Harry Winks will be staying for the moment.
. But he’s come back into the team and taken his opportunity with both hands.
“There’s no reason that he shouldn’t be playing regularly now. He’s been one of the best players over the past month or so.
“It’s no coincidence that he seems to be back to his best. There was a time when you think maybe with the Euros coming that he’d be looking to go and play regular fits-team football if there was an opportunity.
