Breaking News ! 238999918">Paul Robinson has questioned where Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fits in at Liverpool as he prepares to slip even further down the pecking order with Diogo Jota’s imminent return. However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper said he expects the 27-year-old to remain at Anfield this summer as he will not be causing any problems behind the scenes. Oxlade-Chamberlain has played just 221 minutes of football this season, in part due to a knee injury suffered in pre-season. However, he has started just two games since his return from injury in December despite midfielders Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and winger Jota spending lengthy spells on the sidelines. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp told club media he is confident Fabinho and Jota will be fit to face Chelsea this weekend, while James Milner returned in the win against Sheffield United.

“Oxlade-Chamberlain has been unlucky with injuries but he is a player that excites me and that I rate very highly,” he told Football Insider.
“There was a time where he came into the team and made a big impact.
“The difficult thing now, is that he has been fit for a fairly long time but he has barely played. Even though they have struggled with injuries, he has not played much football at all.
