Breaking News ! Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo thinks Wolves lack the ‘edge’ at Molineux despite their 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace. The home side went ahead in the 18th-minute thanks to a well-taken goal by Premier League debutant Rayan Ait-Nouri. They doubled their lead in the 27th-minute as Daniel Podence finished off a Pedro Neto cross. Palace were reduced to ten men in the second half as Luka Milivojevic was sent off. The captain’s challenge on Joao Moutinho was ruled as dangerous. Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Santo said: “It’s all about the performance, the table is not important. The work is important. Playing without fans requires a lot of focus, we haven’t the edge of Molineux. “I think we were good but we should play better.
. We had a good team in front of us. At the end of the first half we slowed down our pressure and Palace had chances.
“Second half we adjusted and didn’t concede too many chances and had our chances where we should do better.”
When asked about Ait-Nouri’s performance, Santo said: “I am really pleased for him because it is his first game and what better start can he have? He is 19 with a lot of things to improve. He has to get so many things on board and that’s the work.”
The result means Wolves move up to third in the Prem table after seven matches.
They’ve also picked up wins against Sheff Utd, Leeds and Fulham so far this campaign.
Other teams have games in hand on them, however, so they may slip down the table this weekend.
Their next match is away at Leicester on Sunday 8th November.
