A man staying nearby said: "Coastguard helicopter has made about three or four passes. One landed earlier above Porthcurno Beach. "I’m at Treen Farm Campsite above the next beach, Pednvounder. A coastguard pick-up went past towards the coast with its lights flashing." He added: "So the helicopter that kept passing - about six times - was the second one. "The other landed at Porthcurno about half an hour ago and is now about to take off again (I can hear it starting up but can’t see it yet)."
