Breaking News ! Occupants of a home and their dogs were rescued from the scene after a car collided with a house in Bodmin this evening (October 18). Police, fire services and ambulance attended the scene on the A38 after reports of a car smashing into a house before bursting into flames. Police have confirmed the house also briefly caught fire but that the occupants inside, along with their dogs, were safely rescued and taken away from the home. The force has also confirmed one man has suffered minor injuries after the crash. A38 closure (Image: Aaron Greenaway) A spokesperson for the force said: "A male called the police after hearing explosions. The vehicle was alight when the police attended. The house was also partly on fire.
. He was given first aid at the scene. Police lead the occupants at the address and their dogs out of the property to a safe place away from the house.
"Police are still at the scene with fire services making the house safe and removing the vehicle. They may be there for some time. "The male only suffered minor injuries." The A38 in both directions has been closed due to the crash between Bodmin Parkway Station turn-off and A390 Twelvewoods roundabout.
