Breaking News ! A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a suspected stabbing in St Ives. Police were called shortly before midnight on Wednesday September 16 to St Ives town centre following reports that a man had been seriously assaulted. It was reported that an altercation had taken place on Tregenna Road between 11.30pm and midnight during which the victim sustained a stab wound to the arm. Emergency services located the victim on Chapel Street. The victim, a 29-year-old man from Redruth, was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital with serious injuries, which are not being treated as life-threatening. Police are seeking to identify and locate the two men in connection with this incident.
. He was reportedly wearing a red and yellow helmet. The second man was reported to be around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was reportedly wearing black jeans, a grey hoody with black jacket over the top, white trainers and wearing a white helmet. A scene guard was put in place whilst enquires were made.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist the investigation to contact police. Anyone with information and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1114 of Wednesday 16 September.
