Breaking News ! One of Europe’s leading speciality coffee roasters is opening a new café, roaster and workspace hub in Cornwall this month. Origin Coffee will be moving its roastery operations from Helston to a new purpose-built location in Porthleven on April 19. The company, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary, has a strong connection with the community in Porthleven; it’s where it opened its first coffee shop, Harbour Head, in 2015. Origin has also been an avid sponsor of the annual food festival. This milestone is a major move for Origin on its mission to become the leading and most progressive speciality coffee roaster in Europe. “The roastery will be a central hub for all things Origin, where our team can work, socialise, drink amazing coffee, enjoy organised activities, and grow as individuals,” said Tom Sobey, the company’s owner and founder. Origin works with some of the leading lights in the UK hospitality scene, from The Hoxton, PIG and Scarlet hotels, through to award-winning independent coffee shops, including Rosslyn and Pavilion Bakery.
