Breaking News ! A series of power cuts are affecting regions across Cheshire today. Homes and businesses are finding themselves without electricity in all corners of the county as power cuts hit the region. Some have now been restored but several power outages are ongoing, with more planned for later today (Thursday). Current outages are affecting numerous postcodes in Runcorn, Northwich and Nantwich. In Nantwich, postcodes CW55AS, CW55BA, CW55BZ, CW55DB, CW55RJ, CW55ST, CW55XQ, and SY109BX are without power. Scottish Power is working to fix the issue and says it expects power to be restored in the area by 2.15pm. In Northwich, homes and businesses in the Barnton area have been without electricity since 8.30am. The postcodes affected are CW84JP, CW84JX, CW84NG, CW84NH, CW84NL, CW84NN, CW84NP, CW84NR, CW84NW, CW84UP, CW84UR.
. The postcodes in Runcorn that are without power are WA7, WA71DF, WA71DG, WA71DS, WA71LD, WA71LG, WA71LJ, WA71LL, WA71LR, WA71LX, WA71NA, WA71ND, WA71NE, WA71X. This issue has been ongoing since 9am and SP Energy does not have an estimated restored time as yet. Other power cuts this morning across Northwich, Runcorn, Ellesmere Port, Nantwich, Ashley, and Over Peover have been restored. Scottish Power also has planned outages today in Northwich and Winsford. The Acton Bridge region - postcodes CW83PX, CW83PY, CW83PZ, CW83QE, CW83QF, CW83QG, CW83RA - may be without power between 3.40pm and 4pm. Postcodes in Winsford - CW73NX, CW73NY, CW73PA - may also experience power outages this afternoon which will be resolved at 4.30pm.
