Breaking News ! Two teenagers reportedly fled a park after a man cutting wood whistled and started at the girls. The schoolgirls were making their way out of a cornfield in Wood Park in Alsager on Sunday, February 28 at around 5.30pm, when the man started to walk in their direction. The incident alarmed the two girls so much that they ran off, reports StokeOnTrentLive. Police are keen to stress the man - aged around 50 - did not make contact with the youngsters during the incident. Warning others to be vigilant, the mother of one of the girls said: "[There's been] yet another incident of a man approaching young girls in Alsager. "My daughter and her friend were getting whistled at and a man was acting very creepy and then he approached them.
." Police were alerted about the incident of a man acting 'suspiciously' and added that the man did not say anything, but reportedly "walked towards them whistling and staring." A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 6pm on Sunday police received a report of a man acting suspiciously in Wood Park in Alsager. "As two teenagers came out of a cornfield a man in his 50s walked towards them whistling and staring. "He didn’t say anything or make contact with them. The man had been cutting wood."
