Breaking News ! Prime Minister Boris Johnson revealed the government's roadmap for exiting lockdown yesterday (February 22). In his highly anticipated announcement, the Prime Minister revealed that all aspects of society could be opened by June 21. The roadmap outlines four steps for easing restrictions, with the government examining data before proceeding to the next step. However, yesterday's announcement has left many people across Cheshire with questions they want answering. We've answered some of your most frequently asked questions below. When will my family and friends be allowed to come inside my house? The government have said that people will be able to meet indoors no earlier than May 17. When family and friends do meet indoors, the rule of six or two households will apply. The government added that they will keep this under review and monitor when it is safe to increase this. What date will pubs and restaurants open again? Pubs and restaurants have been some of the hardest hit throughout the pandemic. According to the roadmap set out by the Prime Minister yesterday, pubs, bars and restaurants can re-open on April 12 at the earliest. However, hospitality venues will only be allowed to serve people outdoors. It was also revealed that there will be no need to order a substantial meal with alcohol, along with no curfew. The roadmap does add that customers must order, eat and drink while seated.

. According to the roadmap, from March 8, all children and students will return to face to face education in schools and college. All secondary and college pupils will be tested routinely for coronavirus twice a week, the government has confirmed. Speaking in the House of Commons on Monday, the PM said families and childcare bubbles will also be encouraged to get tested regularly under the plans. Can I go to the gym again? The government has said that indoor leisure facilities, such as gyms and swimming pools, will also reopen no earlier than April 12. However, they said only for use by people on their own or with their household. I've booked to go on holiday. Will I be able to go? According to the new roadmap, people may be able to travel to self-contained accommodation with their own households as well as domestic overnight stays from April 12. Meanwhile, hotels and bed and breakfasts are expected to reopen the following month on May 17. When can I get a haircut? The government has said hairdressers and nail salons will reopen no later than April 12. Can non-essential stores re-open? Much like hairdressers, the roadmap states that that non-essential retail, personal care premises and libraries will be able to reopen no later than April 12. By this date, most outdoor attractions and settings, including zoos, and theme parks, will also reopen although wider social contact rules will apply in these settings to prevent indoor mixing between different households. Drive-in cinemas and drive-in performances will also be permitted.
