Breaking News ! Believe it or not, it is six months exactly since the 2020 Six Nations kicked off. Yet incredibly, 182 days later, we are still none the wiser on who will win European rugby's showpiece. However, we do now have dates for the finale of the final four matches of the tournament which was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. World Rugby confirmed earlier this week that a temporary global window would accommodate the completion of the Six Nations on 24 and 31 October. So what fixtures are left, who can still win the trophy and where can Wales finish? What fixtures are left? Four matches were delayed earlier in the year. The round four fixture between Ireland and Italy will take place on 24 October. Then, the following weekend will see the final round of fixtures all take place on 31 October, with Wales hosting Scotland, England playing Italy in Rome and Ireland facing France. Who can still win the Six Nations? Heading into the resumption of the tournament, England and France were sat top of the table on 13 points. Scotland were next with 10 points, with Ireland fourth on nine points - having played a game less. The Six Nations table 1. England 13pts 2. France - 13pts 3. Scotland 10 pts 4. Ireland - 9 pts 5. Wales - 7pts 6.
. England have a slightly better points difference of 15 compared to France's 13. Facing Italy away in their final match, England will expect to win - probably with a bonus point - and significantly improve their points difference. That would mean France would have to beat Ireland in Paris and hope England fail to match their result against Italy. However, Ireland are also in with a shot at the title. If Ireland secure bonus-point wins over Italy at Stadio Olimpico and then against France at Stade de France, they would be crowned champions regardless of the result England achieve in their rescheduled match. Finally, Scotland still have a remote chance of causing a shock upset. A win for Gregor Townsend's side against Wales in their rearranged final fixture, along with an Irish defeat to Italy and then a draw between between Ireland and France the following weekend, would go some way to their title hopes. However, they'd also need Italy to defeat England on the final weekend were they to win the Six Nations title. Where can Wales finish? It hasn't been a vintage first Six Nations for new Wales head coach Wayne Pivac, with Wales having lost three matches in the competition for the first time since 2007. The 2019 Six Nations champions have recorded just one win during this year's tournament, opening their campaign with a 42-0 victory over Italy in February. But where could they finish up? Well, if Wales beat Scotland, and Ireland lose both their games in hand against Italy and France, then Pivac would be looking at a third-placed finish in his first campaign. However, the worst-case scenario is that Wales end up bottom of the championship. However, for that to happen, they would need to lose to Scotland and Italy would need to beat both Ireland and England.
