Breaking News ! A vigil is to be held in memory of Bennylyn Burke and her two-year-old daughter in Bristol this weekend. This comes after, last week, Police Scotland confirmed two bodies found in a Dundee house were those of the missing Kingswood mum and her daughter Jellica. The bodies were discovered in Troon Avenue, Dundee, on Thursday, March 18, and experts have now formally identified them as Bennylyn Burke, 25, and her daughter Jellica. And now a vigil is being planned in their memory at 1pm on Saturday (April 10) in Brandon Hill, Bristol. The vigil will be held at Cabot Tower, by the playground - a place where they had often met for picnics and spent time together. Both family and friends of Bennylyn Burke and Jellica have previously paid tribute to them. His sister has previously said her "heart has been torn by pain". Shella Aquino, speaking from her home in the Philippines, said she was still finding it hard to accept the events of recent weeks. She added: “For me it’s very painful. “It is like my heart has been torn by the pain – I can’t stop crying. I just want to see and hug them.

She said Bennylyn moved to the UK from the Philippines in 2019, in search of a better life for her children. And a friend of the young mum described her heartbreak, saying: "Bennylyn is so friendly and such a loving mother. "She smiles all the time - a simple and happy woman. "Jellica is such a sweet little girl, very cuddly. "The moment we see each other, she always gave you a cuddle and then always sat on your lap and kissed you." Andrew Innes is accused of bludgeoning Bennylyn to death with a hammer at his home in Dundee.
The app designer has already made two court appearances, and has been remanded in custody until his trial. The software engineer is accused of committing both murders within his home between February 17 and March 5 this year. A nationwide search for Bennylyn and her children was launched after the family was reported missing from their home in Kingswood at the start of March.
