Breaking News ! Bristol Rovers boss Paul Tisdale admits the club are looking at "a few options" when it comes to possible incomings this month. Rovers have signed one player so far in January, with goalkeeper Joe Day becoming Tisdale's first signing since taking charge as he joined on loan from Cardiff City for the rest of the season. Abu Ogogo has returned to Bristol Rovers, after a loan spell at Dagenham & Redbridge over the first half of the season. But with the Gas still just one point above the League One relegation zone, albeit with games in hand on their rivals around them, Tisdale is keen to strengthen further as he looks to get Rovers climbing the table. And Tisdale has confirmed that Rovers are in contention to sign players in the January transfer window, although he has not ruled out outgoings as well from the Memorial Stadium this month. "We’re in the race for a number of players, that doesn’t always mean you’re going to get them and like any recruitment scenario over a month’s period, you start with a few targets and you work through them," he said. "We are doing our very best, to look at a few options.

. Some because they’ll be sold and some because they don’t make the 22 or we think it’s right they continue their development out on loan somewhere. Priority is who is coming in and then we can work backwards and maybe make decisions on players going in the opposite direction. "It’s not a very palatable topic, these players have careers and the when in the public eye, every move is looked at. It's one of the unsavoury parts of our job and players will be fighting to be in the 22 and make the best path in their career. "I realise I'm part of that and we're all working hard to do the right thing for Bristol Rovers and for those players individually."
