Breaking News ! A man has pleaded guilty to assault after punching a PCSO in the face whilst he sat in his police on the weekend. John Treasure, 33, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Bristol Magistrates Court on Tuesday (September 15) to one count of assaulting an emergency worker. He punched the PCSO in the face in the Trinity Road area shortly before 10pm on Sunday, September 13 - read the original story here. Chief Inspector Paul Wigginton said: "This was a nasty attack on one of our PCSOs. Fortunately he does not appear to have suffered any lasting injuries. "I am sure the public will be appalled by the incident, which acts as a reminder of the sickening abuse the police can sometimes face when patrolling the streets and serving communities. "Violence towards the police is wholly unacceptable.
. He wrote: "PCSO has been assaulted whilst sat in a police car. This premeditated vicious attack happened yesterday. As a consequence the officer has severe bruising, thankfully no fractures. Such attacks are #NotAcceptable. He added the Avon and Somerset Police Federation had offered support. Treasure will be sentenced at the same court on Tuesday 10 November.
