Breaking News ! A Bristol man has been hit with a £300 penalty - for going into a Sainsbury's store. Robert James Pitman, 31, of Narrow Quay, was made the subject of an exclusion order from Sainsbury's at Broad Quay in Bristol. But he pleaded guilty to breaching the order by entering the store on November 5, September 24 and October 1. Pitman appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on November 12. Magistrates handed him a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order.

He must also Contact the Avon and Wiltshire Partnership (AWP) by calling 0117 9195670 within two days of the order being made. He must fully engage with the support and advice offered to him by AWP in relation to his mental health needs. Pitman is prohibited from sitting, loitering or approaching any person for the purpose of begging or going within five metres of any Tesco or Sainsbury's within a mapped area. He was fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
