Breaking News ! Pubs, shops, and restaurants will be allowed to reopen from Monday, April 12 in the next stage of the government’s roadmap. Businesses such as hairdressers, gyms, non-essential shops and beauty salons will be allowed to welcome customers back as planned. There will be no curfew and no requirement of a substantial meal while at a pub, although hospitality will be limited to outdoor service only until May 17. In a recent update from Downing Street, the prime minister confirmed the government is satisfied for restrictions to continue to be eased and allow for more freedoms. He said: “On Monday the 12th I will be going to the pub myself and cautiously but irreversibly raising a pint to my lips.” Outdoor gatherings will continue to be restricted to six people and care home residents are permitted to welcome a second visitor from April 12.
