Breaking News ! Hospital bosses are appealing for owners of 4x4 vehicles to come forward - to ensure staff can get to work during the pandemic if severe weather hits Bristol. North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) is appealing for drivers of 4x4s to come forward amid fears some staff may struggle to get to work if forecast snowy conditions for the end of the month transpire. The hospital is already facing ‘extreme’ pressure due to the pandemic and rising numbers of patients being admitted with coronavirus. Anyone volunteering to help get staff to work will all be issued with PPE and ‘comprehensive guidance’ on how to do so safely. All fuel costs will be reimbursed. The image shows Wales, the midlands and parts of the South West, including Bristol, Gloucestershire, parts of Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset could see heavy snowfall from midday on Thursday, January 28.

A spokesperson for North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) said: “Ahead of potential severe weather conditions we appeal to local 4x4 drivers to support staff who might otherwise struggle to get to work. “We have done this with great success in the past and are incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who have helped us.
