Breaking News ! These gorgeous dogs are some of the current residents at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre - and are hoping you could give them their forever home. Katie Love, community and volunteer assistant manager at Bristol Animal Rescue Centre, in Albert Road, has previously spoken about what lockdown has been like for places that work with animals. She said they anticipate seeing more animals being handed in, or abandoned, in the months ahead as the financial impact of this crisis hits. Ms Love also said they had seen less animals being brought in due to having injuries caused by car accidents and that, at the start of lockdown, they had a huge spike in people contacting them as they wanted to adopt an animal. She also said how they had suffered massively financially and were hundreds of thousands of pounds down due to lost income from fundraising events and activities, which is why they have set up an urgent appeal. Here are some of the dogs currently looking for a home at BARC. She has some behavioural needs, mainly relating to other dogs when she is out and about, and would benefit from a quieter home in a rural or semi rural location away from busy populated areas, so she can enjoy her walks without seeing lots of dogs. "Carrie is an amazing little lady with tons of character who loves to play and talk to you, though she would happily sit on your lap and stare soulfully into your eyes all day long if you let her. "Carrie is such a loving dog, and deserves an experienced home that can help her continue to improve and grow in confidence."
