Breaking News ! This is the moment motorbike and quad bike riders caused havoc in Birmingham city centre - taunting car drivers, pulling wheelies and angering residents. Footage shows the riders rampaging through Bromsgrove Street at its junction with Hurst Street, riding on the pavement, doing wheel spins in front of cars and revving their engines. A resident witnessed the Friday night incidents and videoed what went on. In the first incident at 10pm, a motorbike rider is spotted riding on the pavement while another carries out wheel spins - creating plumes of smoke outside the Missing Bar. One rider also then pulls a wheelie in the middle of Bromsgrove Street. Then later at 11pm riders are seen travelling in the opposite direction up the same road with quad and motorbike riders pulling wheelie stunts. A large group of loud bikers were riding around Birmingham city centre on Friday night angering residents and taunting passers-by The resident told BirminghamLive: “This is just a bit of what Birmingham City Centre residents and visitors had to suffer for a few hours as these racers stormed the roads and footpaths with no care.

. “No idea what it was all about or what their journey was, but it was very loud. “Two even mounted the footpath at one point." He added: “It was just very loud which I guess isn't nice at 11pm if you have children trying to sleep or if you're trying to relax and watch TV. “There was a police officer walking past whilst it was happening. “I've only seen them once before this but not on as large a scale as last night;. “It was quite a gathering!" A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We did receive calls about this issue. "We sent traffic resources who went into the area and searched extensively but did not come across any bikes."
