Breaking News ! This is the moment a crowd of masked protesters marched through Birmingham city centre to demonstrate over the killing of a prominent musician in Ethiopia. Around 100 people gathered for the peaceful event in Birmingham city centre this afternoon, Wednesday, July 29. The demonstrators can be seen walking together near to HSBC with placards and flags in the video above. The protest, which saw dozens congregate on New Street, began at around 1pm. (Image: Ryan Underwood) They were protesting after more than 80 people were killed amid unrest in Ethiopia following the murder of prominent singer, Hachalu Hundessa, The 34-year-old, who was a powerful political voice of the Oromo ethnic group, featured on a large placard at the protest alongside the words #OromoProtests and #Justice4Hachalu.
