Breaking News ! A star of The Chase has clarified his future on the show after viewers voiced their concern he may have been sacked. Darragh Ennis is the new Chaser on the ITV1 quiz favourite but has sparked fears he has been ousted by TV bosses. Fans of the show have queued up to complain Darragh barely features - and this week was another in which no episodes featuring him aired. Many were speculating whether Darragh was a short lived experiment for the show, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh. Other Chase fans all said it was unfair that the Menace was barely used - with the other five Chasers appearing far more frequently. Amid their complaints and fears, Darragh has taken to Twitter to have his say. Darragh hasn't appeared in many shows since his debut last year (Image: ITV) He tweeted: "Sigh.

. "The nature of random scheduling means sometimes we don't have a show air for a little while, and sometimes we're on 2 or 3 times in a week." On joining the show, Darragh announced: "I'm really excited to be the 6th chaser on #TheChase . I've been working hard on this for a while now and can't wait for my episodes to air. Well the ones I win anyway." Darragh was previously a contestant on the quiz favourite and impressed fellow Chasers so much that, upon learning the producers were hiring a sixth, Paul Sinha, aka the Sinnerman, immediately went to bat for him. Other Chasers used by the show are Anne Hegerty, Jenny Ryan and Shaun Wallace, as well as Mark Labbett.
