The FSA is carrying the public health notice, which instructs shoppers to return the affected items and receive a full refund in return. Sainsbury’s is recalling frozen by Sainsbury’s Cooked Mussels because Salmonella has been found in some of the products in this batch. The supermarket chain is vowing to give full refunds to anybody affected, with customers told to return items to their nearest point of purchase. The Sainsbury’s Cooked Mussels (frozen) products come in pack sizes of 300g.
. In a risk statement, the supermarket giant warns: "The presence of salmonella in the product listed above. "Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps."
