Breaking News ! Newcastle United are among a host of clubs ‘following’ Birmingham City loan man Yan Valery, according to reports in France. Website Footmercato claim the St James’ Park outfit are in a group that also contains Borussia Mönchengladbach and Marseille all interested in the 22-year-old. Valery, who has been at Southampton since the age of 16, has spent the last half season at St Andrew’s but has had little impact. He moved in the January transfer window but played just seven times for Blues, making only two starts, struggling to convince Aitor Karanka he was worth a place in the team. Valery still has two years on his contract at Saints but has become a bit player there too, with only four games this term.
