Breaking News ! Four Worcestershire men arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance at West Midlands hospitals have been released on bail - and told to stay away from medical units. The men, all in their 30s, were arrested in relation to incidents at Worcestershire and Birmingham hospitals, and in Bromsgrove town centre between December 31 last year and January 9. Earlier this month West Mercia Police confirmed it was investigating reports that men were entering hospitals filming, with videos posted online claiming hospital corridors were empty and the Covid-19 pandemic was a hoax. A further video was also believed to have been taken at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on New Year’s Day. Chief Insp Ed Hancox, of West Mercia Police, issued a statement on January 4, saying: “Following reports that individuals were entering hospitals in Worcestershire to film, a number of men voluntarily attended Kidderminster Police station to discuss the matter.
.” West Midlands Police said: “We are aware of the video [inside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital]. “We were contacted at 9.40pm on New Year's Day by a member of the public at the hospital who was concerned by the man's actions, walking around inside a hospital without a mask and filming.
"We are liaising with colleagues in West Mercia Police and will consider the circumstances before deciding on the most appropriate course of action." West Mercia Police said a 31 year-old, from Bromsgrove, 34 year-old, from Bromsgrove, 34 year-old, from Droitwich and 37 year-old, from Kidderminster, had been released on bail with strict conditions ‘not to enter any hospital in England unless they have a medical reason to do so’.
