The roof of the Volkswagen had to be cut off to free the casualty following the smash in Wellington Road, Bilston. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 2.30am on Sunday, August 2. The white vehicle, which had hit a brick wall, came to a rest across a driveway, surrounded by debris. The scene of the crash in Wellington Road, Bilston (Image: West Midlands Fire Service) Firefighters from Bilston and Fallings Park were forced to remove the roof and dashboard to free the trapped male, who was taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

"There was one male casualty trapped in the vehicle. Crews removed the roof of the car and the dashboard to assist with getting him out of the vehicle. "He was taken to hospital by ambulance crews." West Midlands Police has been contacted for comment.
