Matheson has already made a big impression on Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters with his down-to-earth approach since his move from Rochdale in January. "For the man who thought he was travelling to Spain to watch his son make his England debut but instead ended up watching his wife fight for her life for six weeks and still made it to the game. For the man who would finish work at 4pm and have me at training by 5pm. "Also, for the woman we are fortunate enough to call our Mum. Matheson has started the season with Wolves' under-23s and recently made his first start in the 3-0 win over Stoke City at the end of last month. “It felt great to finally be able to start for Wolves," he said at the time. "I signed all the way back in January, which feels like forever ago, especially with the lockdown and everything. “To finally get a start and get a win, it was amazing to do after such a long time out. I’ve also been out with injury, so to finally be with the team, have an impact on the league to get the three points was a great feeling.”
