Breaking News ! Aitor Karanka believes his Birmingham City team played their best half of the season against Norwich City at St Andrew’s. However, the head coach watched as Blues were beaten 3-1 by the Championship leaders, despite dominating the opening period and going in at half time level. A Teemu Pukki double and a late sucker punch from Oliver Skipp meant Ivan Sanchez’s second of the season counted for nothing - and Blues were left to rue missed opportunities. Karanka, though, reflected on the quality of his team’s first half. “I think it has been the same the last seven or eight games except the game against Luton. “We are competing really well every single game. We were as good as Millwall at least, much worse than Luton, but Coventry we compressed them and Blackburn we were as good as them. “I have to keep believing and trusting in these players because once again they have shown they are very good players.”
