Breaking News ! Former Aston Villa player and coach Colin Calderwood has taken up a job on the coaching staff at League One Blackpool. Scot Calderwood, 55, spent the 1999-2000 season at Villa Park as a player before he returned to the club to work under manager Steve Bruce in November 2016 following Bruce’s appointment. He remained at the club until Bruce’s departure, when he also left alongside Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence, and was offered the Cambridge United job in late 2018. He’d been out of work since January of this year, when he was sacked by the U’s, but has now returned to work with the League One Seasiders.
