Edens 'in talks' over potential Vitoria purchase Aston Villa co-owner Wes Edens could be set to invest in another football club, according to reports in Portugal. But Villa fans don’t need to worry despite claims the American has held "exploratory conversations" about putting money into Primeira Liga outfit Vitória Guimarães. Vitória are currently sixth in the Portuguese top flight but there is uncertainty surrounding the club’s ownership. However, Record, via Sport Witness, claims that Edens met with Vitória chairman Pinto Lisboa earlier this month. Edens owns Villa with Nassef Sawiris and having saved the club in 2018 the pair have restored its Premier League status and Villa are now looking to make the next step following a season of stabilisation.
