MetiNews.Com - Aston Villa transfer news: Olympique Lyon winger has passed a medical and signed a four-year deal with Dean Smith's side but according to reports there is a delay in obtaining a work permit
Breaking News ! The delay in Aston Villa completing a move for Olympique Lyon winger Bertrand Traore is because of work permit issues, according to Sky Sports . Traore is said to have put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal with Traore and completed a medical in Denmark earlier this week under the watch of Villa's sporting director Johan Lange. However, Sky are saying the deal is reportedly yet to formerly be announced because of delays affecting applications for work permits caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Traore is a citizen of Burkina Faso, a country in West Africa, hailing from the city of Bobo-Dioulasso. That is why he needs a work permit despite having been playing football in Europe for a decade, starting out at French side Auxerre before transferring to Chelsea and then on to Lyon. It took Traore over a year to get a work permit to play in England when he transferred from Auxerre to Chelsea because of new regulations introduced by the FA.
. Traore has only missed four games in three years for Burkina Faso.
