Breaking News ! Aston Villa's Irish under-23 winger Tyreik Wright has penned a loan deal at Walsall for the remainder of the season. Wright, 19, has been at Villa since 2018 after being signed from Lakewood in Cork and, this season, has two goals and three assists for Villa's under-23s. The teenager was missing from last week's FA Cup heroics against Liverpool as it's believed he was one of the few players who had been training with Villa's first-team in the build-up to that cup game. The Republic of Ireland under-19 international said of his loan move to League Two Walsall: "I’m absolutely delighted to be here. I just want to thank the gaffer and Walsall for giving me the opportunity to come here on loan. I have been waiting a long time for this opportunity and I just can’t wait to get started. . "I’ll take my experiences of playing in the EFL Trophy this season because I haven’t played men’s football before but those games are a massive help and they can really help with your career development and I have enjoyed playing in those games.” Read More Related Articles 'Dad, he looks like me' - The Aston Villa teenager who blazed a trail against Liverpool Read More Related Articles Duds, disasters and diamonds - Aston Villa's January transfer windows rated Walsall boss Darrell Clarke spoke of his delight at adding Villa's exciting young player to his ranks with 11th-placed Walsall in action on Saturday at home to Oldham.
