Smith was also asked if a deal for Traore was close to being sorted, and the Villa boss again kept his cards close to his chest. “I don’t know, again, we’re looking to bring players in and that will continue until they get over the line,” said Smith. “If they’re not Aston Villa players, respectfully, I have to not speak about them.”
