Breaking News ! A Rolex bought in Birmingham was valued at a staggering £20k on Antiques Roadshow last night. The son of a father who bought the watch in Birmingham in the 1970s was left stunned. And so were viewers, as expert Richard Price ran the rule over the watch. It was a Rolex Submariner, bought in 1972 on a family trip to the Second City. The guest on the BBC One show told Richard: "He bought it for himself in 1972, when I was 7 and the whole family went to Birmingham to buy it. "My dad died in October and he gave it to me a couple of months before he passed away, it means absolutely everything to me, it's a part of my dad that is.

." Richard replied: "I hope you guys are going to be really pleased with this, it's going to be around the £20,000 mark.
