West Brom and Leeds United fans are all making the same point after FA ruling
Team meeting The players and coaching staff at West Brom held a meeting on Monday morning as they prepare for the continuation of their promotion charge at Sheffield Wednesday this coming week. That aforementioned charge took a hit on Friday when Albion fell victim to direct top six rivals Brentford, and Bilic wasn’t pleased with the manner in which sunk to their sixth defeat of the season. He expects improvement quickly at Hillsborough, yet in the meantime he’s been left heartened by the response that his players have delivered. “I wanted to have a meeting with the players this morning before training,” Bilic revealed. “I wanted to tell them how I feel, how I see the situation now, how I see the game against Brentford and how I see the game in front of us which is the most important thing. “We are hurt. We are hurt, but at the same time I expected and I have seen a very positive reaction from the boys. “It’s not a cliché, we can’t wait for the game on Wednesday. The result is the result - Brentford away, you can go there and lose 3-0, but you have to ask more questions of them. “You have to impose yourself and affect the game more than we did. We weren’t happy about it - we have to do better than that and the guys agree, of course they agree.”
Slaven Bilic holds key meeting with West Brom players after Brentford defeat
Punished West Brom have been handed a promotion boost after The FA dished out a three-game ban to Fulham bad boy Aleksander Mitrovic. The hot-headed striker, scorer of 23 goals this term, has been found guilty of elbowing Leeds defender Ben White in Saturday's encounter at Elland Road. The Londoners' form has dipped since Project Restart with their latest 3-0 defeat to Leeds pushing Scott Parker's men back to fifth in the Championship - seven points adrift of Albion in second. Mitrovic, meanwhile, lead in with his elbow during an off-the-ball incident with Leeds' White just two minutes in. Referee Tony Harrington missed the clash but, today, Mitrovic subsequently admitted violent conduct following an investigation by the FA.

A statement said: "Fulham FC’s Aleksandar Mitrovic has been suspended for three matches following the EFL Championship fixture between Leeds United FC and Fulham FC on Saturday 27 June 2020. "The striker admitted his behaviour in or around the third minute of the match was in breach of FA Rule E1(a) and constituted violent conduct, in an incident which was not seen by match officials but was caught on video." The news is a big blow for Fulham's promotion hopes, with Parker's side set to be without their goal-getter for the upcoming matches against QPR, Birmingham City and play-off rivals Nottingham Forest.
