Breaking News ! Leicester City have confirmed that midfielder Dennis Praet will be out of action for up to three months - and that loss has thrown into doubt West Brom’s chances of landing his midfield colleague Hamza Choudhury. Albion are desperate to add midfield steel to their side this month, someone who can shield the defence as Sam Allardyce attempts to make the Baggies more difficult to beat - something that, in turn, will give them a greater chance of winning games at the other end of the field. Former England youth international Choudhury, a Leicester academy product, was earmarked as a potential addition and, despite Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers suggesting that only a permanent move would be entertained by the powers at the King Power Stadium, they’d hoped to land the 23-year-old on a loan basis. Now, though, Belgian teammate Praet will be missing for three months or more with a hamstring problem which means that Rodgers is all of a sudden a man lighter in that department for the foreseeable future. The likelihood of Choudhury leaving on loan, then, rests now on what Leicester are able to do themselves in the window in terms of incomings. . We respect that there are players who are further away from playing and may want some game-time. “I get that and understand that. That’s something, because of how the guys are every day, I want to support and help that, but I also have to look after the squad and make sure we have the right bodies here to finish the job in a busy second half of the season for us.
