Breaking News ! Two people have been charged after a man was assaulted in a pub. The attack happened at the Britannia pub in Marlow on Friday, October 16 and the victim suffered a fractured skull. Joseph Crowe, 39, of no fixed abode, and Claire Sullivan, 38, of Marlow Road, High Wycombe, were charged yesterday, Saturday, October 17. Crowe was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of battery. Sullivan was charged with two counts of battery. Crowe has been remanded in custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday, October 19. Sullivan has been released on bail to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 17. After the incident, investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Peter Cave, who is based at High Wycombe police station, said: “This was an extremely violent assault which has left the victim with serious injuries and in need of hospital treatment. “This happened at a time of evening where there would have been a number of people in the pub."
