Breaking News ! May 17 is finally here and many are welcoming the next stage of lockdown easing. Hugging, kissing and indoor drinking has returned, but what else is on the agenda? Pubs and restaurants in the South East were able to reopen for outdoor service from April 12, but only if they’re able to offer outdoor space. However, venues that weren’t able to offer the outdoor space had to remain closed. Due to a spike in cases of coronavirus before Christmas, non-essential businesses in the South East were forced to close their doors under the Tier 4 restrictions. Today is the first time since Christmas that some pubs and restaurants have been able to open. You can officially hug and kiss your family members and friends, but the Government are asking people to be cautious about potentially spreading the virus. Indoor entertainment venues, such as theatres and cinemas, are now able to reopen for the first time since before Christmas, however capacity limits remain in place. The days of drinking your pint in the rain or snow are finally over as indoor service in pubs and restaurants resumes.
