Breaking News ! There have been three further deaths linked to coronavirus reported at health trusts serving Berkshire. All three deaths were reported at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The increase takes the death toll in Berkshire since the pandemic began to 1,706. In addition, 102 new cases have been reported in the county. Yesterday, Monday, February 22, three deaths were reported along with 147 new cases. Both deaths and cases have been falling significantly nationally in recent weeks along with the infection rate. This is the latest breakdown of confirmed cases for each area of Berkshire since the start of the pandemic: Bracknell Forest : 6,756 cases (increase of four) Reading : 10,402 cases (increase of 16) Slough : 14,446 cases (increase of 39) West Berkshire : 6,016 cases (increase of 16) Windsor and Maidenhead: 7,944 cases (increase of 10) Wokingham : 7,774 (increase of 17) This is the latest data on the total number of deaths at NHS trusts in and around Berkshire: Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust: 1,188 (no change) Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust: 486 (increase of three) Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust: 32 (no change) Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies for deaths where Covid-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate, together with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show there have now been 141,000 deaths involving Covid-19 in the UK. The Government also said that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 8,489 lab-confirmed cases in the UK. It brings the total to 4,134,639. How many people have been vaccinated? Government data up to February 22 shows that of the 18,558,969 jabs given in the UK so far, 17,916,181 were first doses – a rise of 192,341 on the previous day. Some 642,788 were second doses, an increase of 18,463 on figures released the previous day.
