Breaking News ! A total of 48 new cases have been reported in Berkshire today (Thursday), up from the 36 reported yesterday. There were no new recorded deaths linked to Covid at hospital trusts serving the county today - for a seventh consecutive day. Covid infection rates have also fallen in all but one area of Berkshire according to the latest seven-day figures for week ending April 3. The Government said a further 53 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Thursday, bringing the UK total to 126,980. Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 150,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate. The Government also said that, as of 9am on Thursday, there had been a further 3,030 lab-confirmed cases in the UK. It brings the total to 4,370,321.
